BIODIVERSITY
The number of plants and animals Species and the range of genetic diversity within the population of each species make up the earths biodiversity . The plants and animals which are endemic to a region that is , those which are found nowhere else the world are also important in determining levels of biodiversity . Human settlement and intervention have encroached on many areas of the world once rich in endemic plant and animal species . Increasing international efforts are being to monitor and conserve the biodiversity of the earth remaining wild places .
