DIVING PLATES
When an oceanic and continental plate meet, the denser oceanic plate is driven underneath the continental plate ,which is crumpled by collision to form mountain ranges . As the ocean plates plunges downwards , it heats up ,and molten rock (magma) is forced up to the surface.
