GLACIAL VALLEY

Glaciers can erode much more powerfully than river . They form steep-sided flat bottomed valleys with a typical U-shaped profile. Valleys created by tributary glaciers , whose floors have not been eroded to the same depth as the main glacial valley floor are called hanging valleys .
