MID OCEAN RIDGES

MID OCEAN RIDGES

Mid ocean ridges are formed when two adjacent oceanic plates pull apart ,allowing oceanic plates pull apart ,allowing magma to force its way up to the surface ,which then cools to form solid rock . Vast amounts of volcanic materials are discharged at these mid oceanic ridges which can reach height of 10,000 feet.
