Johnny Depp is gearing up for
the release of Pirates of the
Caribbean 4 (On Stranger
Tides) and celebrating two
Golden Globe nominations for
Best Actor.
Johnny Depp has had quite the
year and it looks like the actor
will be back at it again for 2011.
Yesterday we received our first
look at the highly anticipated
Pirates Of The Caribbean: On
Stranger Tides with the official
trailer. On top of starring in
Pirates of the Caribbean 4,
Johnny Depp has received two
2011 Golden Globe Nominations
for best actor.

Johnny Depp reprise his role as
Captain Jack Sparrow. For the
fourth installment, Depp is on a
quest to find the fountain of
youth. It will be interesting to see
the changes as Gore Verbinski,
who directed the first three
Pirates of the Caribbean
movies did not return for the
fourth. Instead, Rob Marshall
was hired as the director for
Pirates of the Caribbean: On
Stranger Tides. I should also
mention that Penelope Cruz has
been added to the Pirates cast
but Keira Knightley and
Orlando Bloom, who starred in
the first 3 Pirates of the
Caribbean, will not appear in the
4th film. Pirates of the Caribbean
On Strager Tides is set to open in
theaters on May 20, 2011.
Before Johnny Depp hits the big
screen in 2011, he will attend the
2011 Golden Globes. Depp is
nominated for not one but two
roles in the best actor category.
Yes, you heard me correctly,
Johnny Depp has two 2011
Golden Globe nominations for
Best Actor. On nomination is for
Depp’s role in Tim Burton’s
Alice in Wonderland and the
other is for his recent on-screen
duo with Angelina Jolie in The
Tourist. The 64th annual Golden
Globe Awards will be hosted by
Ricky Gervais on January 16,
2011.
With Pirates of the Caribbean 4
(On Stranger Tides) and the 2011
Golden Globe Awards taking
place early next year, it looks like
Johnny Depp will start the new
year off with a bang.
