PRINCIPLES OF PHYSICAL FITNESS DEVELOPMENT :-

The physical fitness programmes help the individuals to develop good physical fitness habits . The fitness programmes include vigorous activities designed to enhances speed ,strength ,endurance ,flexibility and coordinative abilities . These progran must be designed on the principles explaned below :-

1)principle of overload - overloading is felt when the maximum supplying capacity of oxygen is less than the required muscular strength is effectively developed when the muscle group is overloaded .

2)warming up and cooling down - warm up before excercise it loosens muscles and makes them more elastic .after each training programme ,it is important for the body to cool down . The cooling down leads to gradual lowering down of body temperature ,heart rate ,breathing rate and blood circulation .

5)specificity

6)safety
