SEA LEVEL
If the influence of tides ,winds ,currents and variations in gravity were ignored the surface of the earth oceans would closely follow the topography of the ocean floor ,with an underground ridges 915 metre high producing a rise of up to 1 metre in the level of the surface of ocean water .
