URBAN ANIMALS
The growth of cities has reduced the amount of habitat available to many species . A number of animals are now moving closer into urban areas to scavenge from the detritus of the modern city . Rodents particularly rats and mice have existed in cities for thousands of years and many insects especially moths quickly develop new coloring to provide them with camouflage .
