Yesterday we reported that
Yahoo might cut 5% of its
workforce, and today we could
say that the Yahoo layoffs have
begun. A surprising tweet from
Zach Graves, a Senior Software
Developer at Yahoo, said that
there’s a big number of
colleagues carrying boxes,
however, the number will
definitely increase.
He said that there’s nothing
surprising, albeit he immediately
said that the Yahoo layoffs aren’t
real, the only problem being that
lots of Yahoo employees decided
to quit their jobs in the same
time. That’s what I call weird.

Something must have happened
at Yahoo as Yahoo has been
down tonight, and it continues to
be down for some folks. So is
Yahoo down today for you? Let
me know in comments! Before
that, I should say that there’s
little chance that Yahoo is down
because of the supposed Yahoo
layoffs, but… you never know!
Also please note that Yahoo
might perform maintenance on
its servers so if you experience
any lag then this might be the
real reason for the so-called
Yahoo outage.
